In part one of this two-part blog series, we looked at some fall home decor themes to consider within your living room and bedroom spaces. Whether we’re talking about temporary seasonal changes or long-term updates to your home’s furnishings, there are several things you can consider across your home this autumn.

At Guild Hall Home Furnishings, we offer numerous interior design and home furnishing services to clients around Salt Lake City, Millcreek and nearby areas. While part one of our series went over living room and bedroom designs in the fall, today’s part two will look at some other key areas of the home and what you might think about this autumn.

Dining Rooms

If your home contains a dining room, the fall season is the perfect time to spruce it up with some new decor. You might consider something as simple as a table runner or adding in new chairs or seating options (such as benches) that offer a rustic feel – these can be paired nicely with your existing furniture pieces for a transitional look that’s perfect for the season.

And if you want to make a larger statement, consider looking into a new dining room table altogether. Many styles work well for both fall and winter seasons, while also being versatile enough to last through the rest of the year as well.

Hallways

In many homes, hallways are often underutilized spaces that don’t receive much attention during the decorating process. But this autumn, we challenge you to change that! Consider hanging some fall-themed artwork along your hallway walls, or add in a few cozy throw blankets and oversized pillows for a comfy touch.

Kitchen

Just like your dining room, the kitchen is another space where small changes can make a big impact during the fall season. One great idea is to switch out your usual dishware with some seasonal options – think orange, red and brown tones that will match well with other fall colors. Or if you’re feeling really adventurous, consider adding in some new kitchen textiles like tablecloths or towels featuring autumn prints.

Patio Design

Finally, don’t forget about your outdoor spaces when it comes to decorating for fall! Adding in a few cozy throw blankets and some seasonal decor (like pumpkins, gourds or wreaths) can go a long way in making your patio feel inviting and warm during the cooler months.

We hope this two-part series has given you some inspiration for fall home decor. Be sure to check out our full range of interior design and furnishing services at Guild Hall Home Furnishings, or stop by our showroom to see what we have in store! Happy decorating!
